Health Savings Account Balance Transfer

If you have not authorized the transfer of your HealthEquity Health Savings Account (HSA) balance to HSA Bank, take action by Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.
 

1. Visit the HSA Bank transfer site.
2. Enter access code AHBFBM
3. Read the authorization and follow the instructions to accept the transfer.
4. If any of your HSA balance is invested in HealthEquity investment funds and you plan to transfer your HSA to HSA Bank, you must cancel any automatic sweep to investments and liquidate your investments by market close on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025. Your HSA funds will transfer by Monday, Feb. 24, 2025.

Tip: Follow these specific liquidation instructions.

You may elect to keep your account open at HealthEquity and have two separate HSAs. However, if you keep your HSA with HealthEquity, you will be charged a maintenance fee of $3.95 per month by HealthEquity unless you maintain a balance of at least $2,500, as well as any other applicable account fees and a closure fee of $25 (if you close your HSA in the future).
