Enrollment Options

Online Enrollment

The employee completes the enrollment information through HSA Bank's individual or group online enrollment tool. The individual is provided with all disclosures online. If the application was submitted through group enrollment, it will be processed based on the method the employer selected: immediate processing, by approval, or batch processing at the end of the enrollment period. All accounts submitted through immediate processing are established within one business day.

Group Online Enrollment Set-up
To set-up HSA Bank’s Group Online Enrollment tool for your employees, please login to HSA Bank’s Employer Administration Area. If you do not have a username and password for the Employer Administration Area, please complete an Employer Sign-up Form.

Group Online Enrollment Administration Area
To access the group online enrollment administration area, please login to HSA Bank’s Employer Administration Area.

Note: The Employer Administration Area login information may be different than your Group Enrollment Administration Area login information.

If you do not have a username and password for HSA Bank’s Employer Administration Area, please complete an Employer Sign-up Form. 

Electronic Enrollment

Electronic Enrollment (Originated electronically and e-sign certified)
Allows an employer to utilize a third party enrollment tool for HSA enrollment. Prior to beginning any enrollments, the enrollment tool is certified by HSA Bank and includes e-sign authorization requirements. A data file is then transmitted to HSA Bank for account set-up. Files received before 11:00 a.m., CST, will be processed the same day.

Electronic Enrollment (Originated from paper)
This process allows a relationship to create an electronic data file based on a paper application completed by the individual. The paper application can be scanned by the relationship and sent as a TIFF image. Files received before 11:00 a.m., CST, will be processed the same day.

Electronic Census File
Enrollments can be initiated by sending HSA Bank a census file. The census file is used to pre-populate an application for the individual. The individual is sent the application for signature. Once the application is received, an account is established for the individual. Census files received before 11:00 a.m., CST, will be processed the same day.

Paper Application

The individual will complete and sign the application. Based on the process selected by the employer, the application may be pre-filled with employer and/or individual employee information. The application will be considered valid when the employee has signed the application. Once the application arrives, it will be processed within 2-3 business days and an account will be established.
